Analysis Of Common Problems In The Maintenance Of Cycloidal Gear Reducers

Cycloidal gear reducers have the characteristics of small size but complex internal structure. In order to ensure the work efficiency of cycloidal gear reducers and extend their service life, it is necessary to cultivate a good habit of regular maintenance and upkeep of the reducers. We list and analyze common problems from the perspective of regular inspections and appropriate maintenance.
From the perspective of regular inspections, it can be carried out from the following four aspects:
1. The tightness and concentricity of the cycloidal gear reducer coupling are very important for the operation of the reducer. Sealing and concentricity should be well controlled to effectively avoid serious damage to the equipment under flight torque.
2. Regularly check the basic condition of the reducer device, such as device installation, screw fixation, operation, etc., to ensure that the reducer can achieve balanced movement, and adjust or reinstall unreasonable screws in appropriate positions.
3. The oil volume of the cycloidal gear reducer should be controlled within the standard range. If it is lower than this standard, it should be added. It should not be too high or too low to ensure the normal operation of the gearbox.
4. After using the cycloidal gear reducer for a period of time, replace it with new oil and clean the metal powder inside the reducer as needed. However, it should be noted that the amount of oil added should ensure the normal operation of the gearbox and fully exert its lubrication effect.
From the perspective of proper maintenance, the following 5 aspects need to be noted:
1. Parts that are prone to corrosion in equipment, such as shaft seals, are prone to aging and wear. During the operation of the reducer, the smoothness and sealing of the two contact parts are ensured, reducing the noise generated during operation. Regular inspection and replacement of shaft sealing rings are required. In addition, the wear of the shaft seal ring can easily generate dust or some metal powder in the working environment where the end enters the reducer.
2. When the working temperature of the reducer exceeds the operating temperature of the bearing, it should be stopped for inspection and carefully checked for damage to the bearings, gear sleeves, flower discs, spacer rings, pin sleeves, and other components of the reducer.
3. When the reducer is working normally, the eccentric shaft bears a large force, and the eccentric bearing should be replaced in a timely manner during disassembly and maintenance.
4. When opening the gearbox for maintenance and inspection, the reinstallation process must be very careful. After wiping the contact surface, replace the sealing gasket with an appropriate thickness of sealant.
5. For different gearbox models, a series of data such as internal structure, parts, and equipment parameters are different. During maintenance, it is not allowed to replace internal parts or assemble them with other gearbox parts at will.
The cycloidal gear reducer is a new type of reducer based on the principle of small tooth difference planetary transmission. It is widely used in industries such as petroleum, environmental protection, chemicals, cement, transportation, textiles, pharmaceuticals, food, printing, lifting, mining, metallurgy, construction, power generation, etc. As a drive or reducer, it is suitable for working at temperatures of plus or minus 40 degrees.
