The principles  of cycloidal gear reducers: All transmission devices of planetary cycloidal gear reducers can be divided into three parts: input part, deceleration part, and output part. Install a 180 °offset double eccentric sleeve on the input shaft, and install two roller bearings on the eccentric sleeve to form an H structure. The center holes of the two cycloidal gears are the raceways of the rotating arm bearings on the eccentric sleeve. The cycloidal gear meshes with a set of circular pin wheels on the pin wheel, forming an internal meshing reduction mechanism with small tooth difference (in order to reduce friction, a pin gear sleeve is installed on the pin teeth in a small speed ratio reducer).

When the input shaft rotates with the eccentric sleeve for one cycle, the motion of the cycloidal gear becomes a plane motion of rotation and rotation. When the input shaft rotates forward for one cycle, the eccentric sleeve also rotates for one cycle, and the cycloidal gear rotates the tooth difference in the opposite direction to achieve deceleration. Then, with the help of the W output mechanism, the low-speed rotational motion of the cycloidal gear is transmitted to the output shaft through the pin shaft to obtain a lower output speed.

The cycloidal gear reducer is a relatively new transmission mechanism. Due to its unique stable structure, it can replace ordinary cylindrical gear reducers and worm gear reducers in many cases:

1. Large transmission ratio: The transmission ratio of the cycloidal gear reducer during the first stage reduction is 1:7~1:87; The speed ratio for two-stage deceleration is 121 to 7569. Users can also choose the third level deceleration with larger deceleration according to their actual needs.

2. High transmission efficiency: Due to the rolling engagement of the meshing part of the cycloidal gear reducer, the total efficiency can reach over 90%.

3. Easy maintenance (lubrication method).

4. Small size and light weight: The cycloidal reducer adopts the principle of planetary transmission. The input and output shafts are on the same axis and have a unique feature of being directly connected to the motor. Therefore, the cycloidal gear reducer itself has the characteristics of compact structure, small volume, and light weight. By replacing the two-stage ordinary cylindrical gear reducer with it, the volume can be reduced by 1/2-2/3; The weight is reduced by approximately 1/3-1/2.

5. Convenient disassembly and maintenance: The cycloidal gear reducer has a reasonable structural design, simple disassembly and maintenance, fewer parts, and simple lubrication.

6. It has the advantages of reliable use, few faults, and long service life. The main transmission meshing components are made of high carbon chromium bearing steel, which has good wear resistance and fatigue resistance. After quenching, the strength is high (HRC58-62), and the cycloidal gear reducer has good mechanical properties and wear resistance; The working contact adopts rolling friction, with basically no wear, few faults, and long service life, which can be 2-3 times longer than ordinary gear reducers.

7. Smooth operation and low noise: The cycloidal gear teeth have a large number of meshing teeth, a large overlap coefficient, and a stable mechanism, reducing vibration and noise to a very low level.

Therefore, cycloidal gear reducers have advantages and characteristics that cannot be replaced by other types of reducers.
